Samuel Chamberlain is the definition of a rockstar! He has been on our staff for over 3 years and has worked with the Marriott as a bellman for over 25 years. Samuel has never called off or showed up late for a shift. In the 20 years I have known him, he comes to work every day with a huge smile on his face and continues to amaze me with the relationships he has with guests and clients. One memorable moment stands out for me. About 2 years ago, we had a transformer blow up on the side of the hotel, resulting in a complete loss of power and some very challenging situations over a 48-hour period. Samuel was on property for 36 hours straight, going from valet to bellman and also doing an overnight shift. With the elevators down, Samuel made countless runs up to the 16th floor to assist guests with their bags and ran around tirelessly. I never saw him whine or complain; he just continued to help people with no sleep for 36 hours straight. That’s the definition of a rockstar!
